CATSKILLS ESTATE WEDDING IN UPSTATE NEW YORK

Ciara and Rohan’s wedding was on an absolutely stunning property in upstate New York, right on the Hudson River. I had no idea what it looked like before arriving, because it was a private estate, but I had ultimate heart-eye emojis when I pulled in! The couple wanted a “colorful, vibrant, fun, family oriented wedding with amazing food, music and party atmosphere. A day to connect with the Groom’s Indian culture and celebrate their love with their nearest and dearest.” Ciara and her family are from Ireland, and seeing new traditions from both sides at this mixed cultural wedding was a wonderful sight.

Colorful and vibrant definitely became apparent right away! Ciara wore two stunning Sarees from Lovely Bride and all of her girls and the Groom also got to wear multiple outfits - The colors everywhere were such a dream! The bride did her own makeup, and her hair was done by Laura at Lari Manz. Just as the whole party finished getting ready and the Baraat was about to begin, the heavens opened up and it started pouring! Luckily the rain passed shortly afterwards and it was beautiful for the rest of the evening, but the weather definitely gave us a little scare, as mountain weather typically does!

My two favorite parts of Ciara and Rohan’s day were both surprises. I’m not a huge fan of getting surprised, but I loooove when it’s other people getting surprised! Right before the ceremony I found out that Rohan was going to surprise Ciara with an engagement ring, which he didn’t originally give her because it’s not part of his Indian culture. She had such a sweet reaction and the ring was gorgeous (well done Rohan!)

Their cocktail hour and dinner both took place outside on the property, with the cocktail hour on the lawn and wrap around porch surrounding the house and the dinner outside of a renovated garage with a beautiful view of the Catskills. The view was complemented by the gorgeous rentals from Cantele Rentals and the food provided by Cinnamon Restaurant was absolutely a highlight (tbh dinner is always a highlight for me, but this one even more so) Once dinner was over, everyone moved into the barn for some dancing, which is where surprise number two happened! Rohan’s sister had gotten friends and family from both sides and put together a choreographed dance to surprise the bride and groom, whose faces were both priceless! Congrats again to Ciara and Rohan on such a fun and vibrant day!

Also need to give a shout out to Galia Videography and my second shooter Mile Square Moments for capturing this day alongside me!
